October 16th: Varley presented a talk on The Master's Muse for the Cleveland Book Club.

October 28th: "The Interaction Between Fact and Fiction": Presentation before the Akron Women's City Club.

February 18th, 2015: Varley read from her new novel in progress at the University of California at Irvine.

A Japanese edition of The Master's Muse is forthcoming from Tchaiko, Co.

Varley's short story, "Shot World," was published in the Fall, 2014 edition of Santa Monica Review.

Varley's short memoir, "Walter Jean Circa 1979" was published in the Fall, 2014 edition of Missouri Review.

Varley was Visiting Fiction Writer during the winter, 2015 quarter at University of California, Irvine.

A novel about the relationship between Tanaquil Le Clercq and George Balanchine, told from her point of view. Balanchine was the greatest ballet master of the 20th century, and Le Clercq, a brilliant ballerina who contracted polio at the height of her career, was his fifth wife.
